Antique obsolete calibre British and European pistols:
History has provided us with a vast wealth of antique pistols, some good, some not so good, some downright bizarre. Great thing is that the ammo is no longer available so officially classed as obsolete (there is, in fact, a long list of maker/models available from the Home Office) so they are still live but no license is required, though you must be over 18 to own one.

Colt m1851 Navy .36 revolver:
Obsolete Colt Navy revolver:
Always love the Colt Navy in .36, along with the smooth jacketed Army its just iconic. This Navy is the shorter barrel model and has certainly seen some use - plenty of dings and pitting, its been re-finished at some point in its life and it looks like the plunger is not original and the cyclinder indexes but not well. Two stage hammer engages nicely and the action is crisp, original wood grips. Obsolete calibre with full working action.
Colt 1851 Navy .36 - original but not the finest example... but twice the price if it was:

Colt Army, 1851, obsolete calibre:
Colt Army .36 black powder revolver, 1851 dated:
Just a jem... a 100% original Colt Navy, full matching numbers on every part including the internals and made at Colts London factory (mainly for the British officers at the Crimean war). The finish has worn nicely accross all the parts, its strips down easily though they all fit tightly for a Navy and the action is excellent. The pistol is on the Colt database and is listed as a Colt Navy Octagonal barrel made in 1851 - very early for one of these, plus it has the "Colts Patent" mark on the breach and two British proof marks on the breach as you would expect. This is the pistol also made famous by Clint Eastwood in "The good, the bad and the ugly". Obsolete calibre so no licsence is required to own this pistol.
1851 Colt Army, all matching and original, cased with kit, just a jem of a pistol:
