British Brunswick Rifle, rifled barrel:
British Brunswick with rifled barrel:
The Brunswick was the percussion cap version of the more well known Baker Rifle (think Sharps Rifles) and has the same super heavy rifled barrel as the Baker, same woodwork as well, but has a percussion lock fitted instead of flintlock. This one looks good but has suffered with some worm in the butt which has been dealt with in the past and filled, All original fittings, British army marked but no regimental marks, obsolete calibre so live but no license required.
Obsolete Calibre Brunswick with rifled barrel and leather sling:

British 1" calibre Tower Musket:
British 1" calibre Tower Musket... crikey...:
Sweet Jesus, words cannot describe how big the 1" bore of this British musket is, but its got the extra re-enforcement of octagonalling along most of its length and its a beast of a gun... More than likely it would have loaded grape shot rather than a solid ball and would have been a shortrange devastating blast, more than likely Naval as most things were at that point. Condition is good but there`s plenty of period repairs to the wood, likely caused by the shock of firing a huge powder load! Undated but would be from around 1830, Obsolete calibre so live but no license required.
British 1" bore Tower musket... or should we say Cannon!:

British Land Pattern Brown Bess Musket:
British Land Pattern Brown Bess flintlock musket:
Now here`s a great looking British Brown Bess, can`t make out the date but woukd be Napoleonic, Bristish markers mark. Fair to say its nt the finest example out there as the barrel has suffered in the past and the stock has had some repairs - the action cocks and fires but prefers if you take the pressure off with your thumb (would be twice the price if it was all really good). Obsolete calibre so live but no license required.
British Brunswick Rifle:
British Brunswick P1841 rifle, early type:
Blimey, don`t see many of these, an early type (indated but easy to tell as it has the lockplate in the grip which was changed to forward of the trigger in later models) Brunswick Rifle (Brunswicks are the Percussion cap version of the flintlock Baker Rifle made famous by the Rifles in the Napoleonic wars, and the said TV program of the `80`s. This ones in good overall condition, original woodwork, smoothbore for dirty powder, its missing the sprung lock that keeps the butt stock cover shut but it stays shut on its own. Comes with leather sling and bayonet (fits on but does not lock in place). Obsolete calibre so live but no license required.

British Land pattern Brown Bess musket cut down carbine:
British Brown Bess musket - carbine cut down:
OK, sometimes things happen - looks like this rather fine British Brown Bess circa 1800 had a few inches chopped off the barrel and stock somepoint in its life - possibly period in service, more likely post. Other than that condition is all original and excellent, full working strong action and has a feint British Army bark on the butt. Obsolete calibre, live, no licence required.
