Dug up WW2 French Mas-36:
Blimey, don`t ever see a deativated Mas-36, let alone a relic, lost to the ground in Northern France during the Blitzkrieg. Condition is realy good in places, you can just about make out the text on the side of breach, quite something.

Deactivated WW2 French Mas-36:
Deactivated WW2 French Mas-36 rifle:
Now here at real-gun.com we`ve always had a soft spot for the Mas-36. Developed between wars by the French to replace the ageing Berthiers and Lebels, it was chambered for 7.5mm and took 5 rounds in teh integral box mag (bit of a shame, would have been much better with 12 or 15 rounds in an external mag), also a shame was a collapse of all French forces in 1940 who were still largly using Lebel chambered rifles but thats history for you. This is a great example, all original, excellent woodwork and metalwork, strips cocks and dry fires and comes with correct certificate of deactivation.
Deactivated Ww2 Mas-36, an excellent compact rifle:

Deactivated WW1 Lebel French 8mm rifle:
Deactivated WW1 Lebel French 8mm rifle:
Ah, ze French Lebel 1886 M93 8mm bolt action rifle, awesome and ground breaking on one hand, rubbish on the other. What was great about it was that it used the first smokeless powder - pumes of smoke were a thing of the past, plus the 8mm cartridge was pretty potent as well and the 8 round tube was also pretty good for the late 1800`s. Problem was it was the mainstay of the French army in the trenches of WW1, one glance at an SMLE and you can see the problems - mainly the re-loading of the 8 round tube under the barrel (think pump shotgun) but you have to feed each round in from above the breach, plus it was only really accurate to 300 meters - not really enough for good support work, plus it was a git to clean! However, there's no doubting the Lebel`s place in history - this ones a cracker, 1917 dated, all matching numbers including the stock and the bolt, excellent metalwork, great wood! Latest EU spec so the bolt cycles but does not cock.
WW1 French Lebel 1886 M93 1917 dated, great condition, super rare:
